Repurposing Content

Last updated: June 2026

The repurpose feature takes any existing post — published or draft — and transforms it into new formats optimised for different platforms and audiences. A LinkedIn article becomes five X threads, an Instagram caption becomes a Pinterest description, a long-form blog post becomes a week of social posts. One click, no copy-paste.

How to repurpose a post

  1. Open any existing post from Posts or a campaign.
  2. Click the Repurpose button in the top-right toolbar (two overlapping arrows icon).
  3. Select the target platforms you want to repurpose for. You can pick one or several at once.
  4. Choose an adaptation style: Faithful (stays close to the original), Expanded (adds more detail), or Condensed (strips it to the core message).
  5. Click Generate. Anthyx creates adapted versions for each platform in under 30 seconds.
  6. Review each version in the side-by-side preview, edit as needed, and approve.

Platform-specific adaptations

Anthyx does more than copy and truncate — it rewrites for each platform's native format:

  • X / Twitter — splits long content into numbered threads, adds relevant hashtags
  • LinkedIn — expands into a professional narrative with a hook line and call to action
  • Instagram — caption is rewritten for visual-first storytelling; suggests a matching image prompt
  • Pinterest — creates a keyword-rich description with SEO-friendly title
  • Email — structures the content as an email with subject line, preview text, and body

Repurposing from blog posts and URLs

You can repurpose from a URL, not just from posts inside Anthyx. Go to Posts → New post → Repurpose from URL, paste the link, and Anthyx will fetch the page content and generate platform-adapted versions. This works well for blog posts, press releases, and product pages. Pages behind a login wall or with JavaScript-only rendering may not be fetchable.

Batch repurposing

On Growth and Agency plans, you can repurpose multiple posts at once. From the Posts list, check the boxes next to the posts you want to repurpose, then click Repurpose selected from the bulk actions menu. Each post is processed individually and lands in a new draft campaign called “Repurposed — [date]” for review before publishing.

Plan availability

Repurposing is available on Starter and above. The number of repurpose operations per month varies by plan — check Settings → Plan for your current usage and limit. URL-based repurposing is available on Growth and above.
